We have a new full-time vacancy within the team here at Retro Custom for a Welder/Fabricator and Service Mechanic. The ideal candidate will have workshop experience and be able to demonstrate an ability to carry out 'factory' standard repairs to all vehicles within the Aircooled VW range. At Retro Custom, we work on many high level magazine feature and show cars so you will need an eye for detail and be able to build show standard vehicles. We are looking for an experienced and skilled worker who can work to their own initiative and when required, fabricate repair panels from scratch to original specification. You will also be required to undertake custom fabrication work to customers' requirements and liaise with customers to help them develop their ideas.

The ideal candidate will also have a good knowledge and experience with aircooled VW mechanics and be competent enough to undertake standard mechanical service jobs unsupervised when required. Some knowledge of aftermarket parts and cross model compatibility is beneficial, as is a basic knowledge of factory correct parts for various types and models.
