Fed up with cruising to and camping at shows on your own? Want to meet up with other VW-minded individuals in the area? Want free advice or guidance on your car? Fancy displaying your car with us at events?

If you're thinking 'Yes' to any of these questions, then Club Retro Custom is for you!

Since Retro Custom opened its doors, many of our satisfied customers have forged lasting friendships with the Retro Custom guys and girls and join us for many of our social car related events. We regularly visit VW and Custom Car shows all over the country and in Europe and meet up regularly for impromptu cruises on summer evenings and weekends and now we're giving you the opportunity to come and join in the fun!

Club Retro Custom is free - Its open to anyone, Retro Custom customers and non-customers alike all with an interest in Volkswagens or Custom Cars whether you own one or not. Club Retro Custom is purely a social event where you can join us and get involved in the whole world of Retro Custom!

Why Club Retro Custom? All the guys and gals who work at Retro Custom are VW addicts through and through! We all live and breathe VW's and Custom Cars. When we're not working on them, we're out driving them or even away on holiday in them! Yup, its true, we really do live and breathe VW's - its not just a job, its a way of life!

Now you can join us on cruises to shows, and camp with us in dedicated reserved Club Retro Custom camping areas. We have a very good relationship with a number of show organisers in the UK and Europe and can organise our own dedicated camping areas with them. At many shows, both we and our customers display our cars in Show and Shines and outside our trade stand at certain shows and we have picked up a number of awards including Best Club. If you don't wish to display your car, that's fine - you can just park up on our pre-arranged  campsite and enjoy the show!

Many one-day shows we go to allow all classic and custom vehicles to park together in the show field, so you are welcome to join us not only for the cruise, but to park alongside us and show your vehicle off to all the public! Many of our customers have told us that they like the comfort of cruising to a show with VW experts in case anything goes wrong with their VW's!

Throughout the 2011 season we will be arranging meet-ups and cruises on both weekday and weekend afternoons starting at Baldock Services and ending up at a specified location. You are welcome to join us for the cruise or meet us at the destination.

Once a month, we will be hosting a 'Social Saturday' at our workshop premises where both customers and non-customers can drop by for a chat, have a look at what we're up to and ask advice on their rides. Throughout the summer months we will be putting on a free BBQ. Please note: We do not work on customers' cars on Social Saturdays, so please don't ask us to fix it there. You are welcome to book your vehicle in on a Social Saturday for work to be done during normal working hours.

On the Club Retro Custom Events page, above the navigation menu of the website and also our Facebook and Twitter pages we will be regularly posting up the events we will be attending throughout the 2011 show season including meet-up locations, times and whether we will be camping or not. We will also be posting up the dates and times of our local meet-ups where you can come and join us on a cruise to a location and chill out among friendly VW-minded individuals. We will also be posting up the once-a-month Social Saturday dates so you can drop by the workshop and talk about your car, see what we're up to, or see how your project is progressing.
